Suggest Treatment For Twisting Of Leg

I fell on my knee on Sunday and after my knee hit, my lower leg twisted to the side. Because of my work schedule this week, I ve been unable to stay off of it and rest and have been in pain every day. sharp pains shooting through my knee area and intense pain behind my knee and in my calf muscle. Also pain and swelling in my calf and ankle. Been wearing a knee brace (ace bandage) and taking ibuprophren as suggested by a friend who is a nurse. having trouble walking....wondering if I should just rest or see my doctor

You should give your knee some honest rest and icing, by not resting it you are only aggravating the injury that occured. Take the ibuprofen scheduled at least 2 times daily for at least 10 days. If you injured any ligaments, those can take a while to start feeling better. If you still have not improved AT ALL in 7 days then I would recommend seeing a doctor who may need to take some xrays of your knee.
