I have two lumps on the side of my neck. One is about the size of a garbanzo bean and the other about the size of a hazelnut. the larger lump is right behind my right ear and the smaller one is directly below it by about an inch. What could be the cause?
Thanks for your question on HCM. The site you have mentioned is rich in lymphnodes and lymphatics. So possibility of enlarged lymphnodes is more in your case. The most common cause for this is upper respiratory tract infection. Other causes are tuberculosis, pertussis, lymphoma etc. So better to consult doctor and get done 1. Clinical examination of swelling 2. Ultrasound examination of neck. 3. Biopsy or fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) to know the cause of enlarged lymphnode. So, better to consult doctor and first diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
