Suggest Treatment For Ulcerative Colitis While On Pentasa

I was taking Pentasa for about 2.5 - 3 weeks for Ulcerative Colitis. I suddenly became very ill with chills and a high fever. The doctor did bloodwork and a chest X-ray and it showed I had pneumonia. The bloodwork showed high neutrophils and low lymphocytes, high protein, low A/G ratio and low potassium. Can Pentasa cause this. I was fine before I started taking it.

“As” per your clinical history is concerned your infection is not due to [pentasa]and it is an anti inflammatory drug used as first line drug in all ulcerative colitis patients. So take it as advised by your Doctor.
