Hello welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns. Longterm uncontrolled hypertension has many complications. So to keep it under 140/90mmhg levels is a primary goal for both doctor and the patient.
.The tab olmesartan you are taking for blood pressure is a good medicine for blood pressure. If your blood pressure remains under control then you can continue it. But check your blood pressure regularly at least 2 monthly with your doctor.
.If your blood pressure is persistently above 140/90mmhg then your doctor might add a new medicine.
.Regular brisk walkwalking for 1 hour and eat a low salt and low fatty diet with good amount of fruits helps to keep blood pressure under control.
.Do check your kidney profile, lipid profile and blood sugar levels to rule out other associated problems. Thank you. Have a nice day.
