Hi,
About your thyroid, you are on the right treatment for underactive thyroid (or
hypothyroidism) with
Synthroid. I don't know if you just started Synthroid or not, but usually, your doctor will start it, then wait about 6 weeks and recheck your levels.
If they are still low your doctor may then increase your dose. Hopefully, this will help with your weight.
I am assuming you are female who has already gone through
menopause, and so Vitamin D and Boniva are important for your bone health. With high blood sugars, you should be monitored periodically for
diabetes.
Having said all this, I want to encourage you that you are doing the most important thing by exercising and watching what you eat.
If you limit your calories, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, and stay active, this will help you lose weight, keep your bones strong, and lower your blood sugar.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
