My 5 year old daughter has a purple mustache. And did not have anything purple. It doesn t hurt or itch. Not rash looks like coming from under the skin. She does not lick above lip or anything I can think of and has been there for about 4 days. What could this be? Is it time to call dr. yet
Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have upper lip discoloration which seems to be due to excessive exposure to sun light leading to postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. It could be due to allergic rection as well. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to start with antiinflammatory medication. You should drink pllenty of water to rehydrate body. Apply topical antiallergic ointment as well and apply sunscreen rich in SPF 26 such as TANCARE. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper prescription.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
