hello, my workplace is installing a concrete floor for a new machine. they then sprayed it with some chemical compound and this made me sick. Headaches, feeling of light headed, muscle cramps, and fatigue. dr diagnosed upper respiratory infection. after 5 days I feel somewhat better but am concerned about long term affects. should I be concerned?

Yes, you can have long term effects if you are having prolonged exposure for months and years. So no need to worry for such short time of exposure. And in case you are too much worried about this than start using mask at work place. There are specific mask available with filters. They will provide you safety from inhaling aerosols.
