Suggest Treatment For Upper Respiratory Tract Infection
My daughter has recently been on a lot of antibiotics. She is 2 yrs old and in daycare and every week she is getting sick. Every few weeks her Dr. puts her on Ogmitten because it seems to help with her ear infections and upper resp infections. She recently finished up another round of antibiotic and started having fevers the last two nights of her final medication. Then she had a rash come up that became welts that night. The Dr. keeps asking me if she is on any antibiotics but I told her no, just what she recently gave her. Is the antibiotic the cause of this recent outbreak? And what can I do if it is?

Augmentin (amoxicillin plus clavulinic acid) can cause skin reaction in the form of itching, rashes etc.
So possibility of Augmentin induced skin rashes is high in your daughter's case.
Treatment of this is stoppage of offending drug, antihistamine oral tablet and steroid containing cream for local application.
Since all these are prescribed medicines, you need to consult doctor for their prescription.
Regarding recurrent upper respiratory tract infection, I advise you to get done Pulmonary vaccination with pneumococcal and Influenza vaccines to your daughter. This will prevent recurrent episodes.
