Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of
severe pain in the abdomen and the low back post bilateral
hernia surgery. There is unbearable pain and difficulty is passing urine and stool, you can feel where the mesh has been put in.
Such problems are due to the following reasons:
It is possible that there is a
nerve entrapment in the scar. If properly examined, evaluated and found a small surgery to cut of the nerve or get it separated can help you a lot.
- There is a small possibility that you have a prolapsed inter-
vertebral disc that is causing such a problems since you have difficulty in passing urine and stool. Hence it is obligatory to have
MRI of the lower spine to see for this and get operated if found.
Thirdly it is necessary to evaluate the cause of difficult in passing stool and urine, this may not be related to the hernia surgery, the cause being altogether different.
Once found hte causes get treated accordingly and your life will be better and the requirement of the pain medication may be stopped.
It is possible that the excess pain medicines are causing the difficulty in urine and stool.
