Hi dr, this is emma. I had a urine acid kidney stone removed in late feb this year. Then I started having urethral stricture since mid march. Then I went for dilation twice but didn t help at all . I m currently suffering urine block and flowing up back to my kidney constantly. What should I do? I m a 22 years old female . None of the doctor can help me and urologist is costly. I m currently taking usana products and coconut oil. None really help me completely. I can only urine in normal flow when I go travelling . After I come home, my period came n then urethral stricture started again. I dunno what to do
Hello Thanks for query. You have developed narrowing of urethral passage (Structure ) after endoscopic treatment for kidney stone and dilatation of urethra has not helped you much and there is repeated development of stricture .
As such stricture of urethra is very rare in females but you have developed it due to instrumentation .
You have to observe that your urethral passage remains wide open .This can be achieved by doing self dilatation yourself V daily at home .This is a very simple procedure and female urethral dilators are freely available in market. Dr.Patil.
