Suggest Treatment For Urinary Retention In A Child
My 5 year old daughter is having a hard time urinating. She feels the need to go urgently but she sits on the toilet for 20 minutes and nothing comes. Sometimes a warm bath will help her relax and it will come out but that didn t even work tonight. What s going on?
I think she is having urinary tract infection. She may need to do an urine analysis and uroculture. I would have treated her empirically with sulfamethoxaxol and trimetoprim. She may need a 5 days course treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
