Suggest Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection

I have gotten urinary tract infections about once to twice a year since I was about 5 or 6 years old. However, over the past year I have had at least 5. I went through a bunch of tests as a kid and nothing was ever found. I had a D & C last 4th of July time, could that be causing the increase in frequency? If not, I dont know what to do. If I go to my doctor all they do is give me the antibiotics and send me on my way. I think I need more than that.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a chronic urinary tract infection.

I recommend doing a urine culture to confirm the diagnosis.

Through this examination, we confirm the bacteria and the proper antibiotic to treat it.

Meanwhile, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

I also suggest using cranberry juice to relieve.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
