Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Pressure During Sex

hi, i am 19 and have had a cyst removed recently which was on the opening of the vagina. I have since then noticed a large lump about 2-3 inches into the vagina with what feels like an indent in the middle. I have never felt this before but it feels horrible whilst having sex if there is too much pressure. I hope you can help me?

Thank you for the question and I am happy to help.

What your describing is most likely related to what we call a Bartholin's cyst. There are glands just inside the vagina on either side towards the back that normally provide lubrication within the vagina. When these cysts are blocked, this leads to symptomatic cysts just like you are describing. Sometimes they can even become infected. In many cases they are drained but then recur. It is not surprising that they are associated with painful intercourse. It sounds like they may have attempted to remove the cyst, but it likely has recurred. You need to schedule a visit with an ObGyn to get this reevaluated. This can be corrected but you might consider a 2nd opinion with a different doctor.
