I have severe vertigo and migraines non stop for 8 days now. Physical therapist first said it was positional vertigo but exercises they assigned made my vertigo worse. They did additional tests and found that my inner right ear is not working properly. The new exercise is to look at a single letter written on a small card for 30 seconds while moving my head left to right without taking my eyes off the letter. Then to repeat but look up and down. This is second day I ve done exercise and still I have symptoms and headache. Please advise. I need to mention that I have scoliosis and I can t handle elevations over 2000 . Two weeks ago I travelled to a 4000 feet elevation.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I think you need to continue with the exercise. You can take Betahistine and Cinnarizine tablet but they require prescription and shouldn't be consumed without physician supervision.
Hope it helps.
