Understanding your concern. As per your query you have viral pharyngitis since one week and you are smelling sensation in back of throat and nose with that which is a matter of definite concern. I would suggest you to start with course of antiviral and anti-inflammatory drugs for upper respiratory tract infection. You should do warm saline gargles 3-4 times a day with lukewarm water. Take diet rich in fruits rich in vitamin C as it will boost your immunity. If symptoms of chest pain and upper respiratory tract infection keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and start treatment after proper prescription. You should take nasal saline rinses. Apply mist humidifiers in room.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
