Hi,
High viscosity semen makes it difficult for the sperms to swim. Also, it has been shown that high viscosity semen adversely affects the sperm parameters, resulting in impaired quality of sperms. Also viscous semen may be results of inflammation or infection. These things may result in the reduced rate of conception.
43% is perhaps total motility percentage of sperms. This reading is also below the normal range of 60-80% actively motile sperms, making the chances of
pregnancy a little less.
Trental can improve the motility and viability of sperms.
Clomiphene is also known to cause improvement in
sperm motility and quality. Supplement of
vitamin C is also thought to increase the count and motility of sperms. Also, some of the factors like eating healthy diet, regular exercise, not smoking, avoiding alcohol as well as proper hydration are of utmost importance.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
