Suggest Treatment For Visual Hallucinations In An Elderly Person
My. Mom is so confuessed now she is talking to people that isn t there. .she is 88 She is in a nursing home and very upset . Been there like 2 years . I don t know what to say to help She is so sad . The doctor at one time said she was starting almaztime a around 80 now long does this go on. I hurt so bad for her

i understand your concern and would like to advice you to get consult with a psychiatrist because visual hallucinations are very complex they can be criticising, commenting, commanding type.
Your mother might not be explain much to you as its very difficult to explain and the mother have the perceptions real according to her.
So she need medications for it and can be having schizophrenia.
i would like to tell you that the hallucinations can be stopped if took proper medications for it.
