Hi,

Nerve damage can be confirmed by the following:
- Consult an ENT surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination and laryngoscopy
- MRI of the neck and chest if the cause is thought to be tumour, tuberculosis or so compressing on recurrent laryngeal nerve
- Any other investigations to know the exact cause
- Once the cause is known the treatment will be as per the cause found
- Till then give multivitamins and mineral and nerve tonics to support

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
