Hello, I have gone through your query and am extremely sorry for what had happened to you. I can understand your concern. There are several causes for a missed abortion. Birth defects or genetic abnormalities, infections, medications, anatomical defects etc., are the usual causes. A histopathological examination of the products after an abortion will help to aid in the detection of the cause to some extent. Couple karyotyping, testing for incompatibilities in the blood groups are some of the tests that you need to undergo before contemplating another pregnancy. Please see an expert in high risk pregnancy to plan future management. Wish you good health.
