Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About 2 days ago I ate something that didnt sit well in my stomach. Later that night I threw up the entire meal. I haven't been able to eat much since then, I feel weak when I walk around the house, and my chest hurts when I try to sleep in certain postitions.
It appears you have suffered from acute gastroenteritis, which is due to the good you took. The main treatment in this is to keep your hydration status well with oral rehydration salt.
You may take pain relief medications for these cramps and chest pain. However, if vomiting persists or you feel to be having a fever or have blood in stools or the other symptoms do not improve then you need to see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Muhammad Zahir Shah, Internal Medicine Specialist
