Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Cough In A Child

Hi Doctor, my son is 10 months and 2 weeks old. Hes got severe cough. He vomits while he cough. Hes has not taken proper intake for the past 2 days. My ped has given Cepodem, Ambrolite and Cetzine syrup. He at times, vomits even the medicines. Please advice.

By what you quote it looks like a viral upper respiratory infection to me. I don't see a need for using Cefpodoxime - antibiotic.

Cough and vomiting is very very common in kids as the cough stimulates cough receptors in the stomach which also induce vomiting. Unless the child is dehydrated and dull, I don't think you should worry.
