Suggest Treatment For Vomiting And Diarrhea

my daughter is on prozac and has been for about 2 weeks, she continues to have vomiting and diahreah, it may be a virus right now, but she hasn't been able to eat today or keep any thing down. I hesitate giving her the medicine tonight with her stomach so bad.

she sees her doctor next wednesday. Will it hurt if she skips tonight?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Some advices that I can give to you are:

- Use over-the-counter option like Imodium.
- Take probiotics.
- Take frequent, small sips of water or a rehydration drink and small bites of salty crackers.
- Begin eating mild foods the next day or sooner, depending on how you feel.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
