Suggest Treatment For Vomiting Caused After Taking Unwanted

Hi Doc, My wife and me had phyisical relation on 4th May. her periods date was 5th or 6th May. which did not came. She consulted a gyno on 15thMay and it was confirmed that she is pregnant As we decided to abort the child her doctor prescribed her unwanted and gave her 5 tabletsn, she took one tablet on night of 16th and one on 17th morning. However, there is no bleeding nor stomach pain. But she is not able to have anything not even water as she is continously vomiting. Can you please suggest (any medicine to stop vomiting) what we can do in this case and when she can expect bleeding and for how long this bleeding will continue. As the doctor she consulted is on leave for 3 days..

Hello dear
Understand your concern.
I think it is side effects of misoprostol that cause vomiting due to gastrointestinal disturbance.
You can take anti emetic drug domperidone either orally or parentrally to stop the vomiting.
Generally bleeding will occur with in one to hour after taking 800 mcg misoprostol.
You have to take remaining tablet every 3 hour till the bleeding will occur.
So better to go for any other gynecologist, take remaining tablet under the supervision of gynecologist.
Bleeding will continue for 5-6 days
And also go for follow up USG to confirm the incomplete abortion.
