Suggest Treatment For Weak Memory

Hi sir,
My father is facing a problem from last 2 years.problem is as below
where ever he is going ,he is tring to remember shop name or y advertise name anything in market ,after returning back to home,he is try to remember the shop names what he has seen in market,if he is unable to re call back that same name ,he is again going to the same place immediatalty,he cant control him self.please sir help me regarding this.

I am sorry to hear that your father is having problems with memory. This is a very common problem and is a difficult problem to manage. In my practice I see this problem frequently. I treat initial patient with memory with Aricept and then followed by Namenda in a few years. These medications help but they do not cure the problem.

For non medical treatments it maybe useful for your dad to actual take with him a diary or journal and have the clerk write down which stores he just visited and what purchased. Perhaps keeping the receipt from the store will also help him remember his trips.
