Suggest Treatment For Welt On Butt Cheek Which Is Spreading

Hi i have a welt on my butt cheek n it's been spreading fast. I've had it before and it usually goes away by itself. I want to know what it is please. It looks and feel like a bug bite except much larger. I am 24 no history of STD's, i got checked up for that earlier and haven't had sex since. I also have no medical problems except for being a sickle cell carrier.

Welts or other spreading lesions on that area of the body are most typically an infection. In this area, common bacteria that live on the skin can form boils or abscesses and then redness surrounding the are that can spread quite rapidly. If it has not improved, I would suggest seeing a doctor and being evaluated to see if there is anything that could be drained and to determine if you could benefit from antibiotics.
