Suggest Treatment For Wheezing In Throat

I am 72 years old a female and am overall healthy...I do have acid reflux and take Nexium and recently had a EGD and was determined I have chronic inflammation ...I have developed a wheezing in my throat, at first only at night but now pretty much all the time...it is very uncomfortable . What is causing this and how can I correct it?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM ....

Here two possibility can be there ...
-Bronchitis
-chronic esophagitis

Here wheezing present as you are saying ..
So auscultation must done to look for hearing rhonchi ....
If present bronchitis can be there ....
For that bronchodilator can be given. ...

You might need short term steroid course if inflammation in esophagus more lead swelling .....

Meanwhile as you are having acid reflux take omeprazole capsule before meal ....

Avoid excess spicy food. ..
Don't immediate go for sleep after taking meal ....
Avoid smoking ....

Consult physician for examination....
