Hi. Your question doesn t mention the consistency of white patches. If these are thickened then only our line of treatment follows different direction. Normally unclean and coated white patches inside oral cavity indicate disturbed digestive functions. The basic treatment is cleaning the bowels by mild purgatives such as Tarunikusumakar and maintaining peristaltic movements of intestines by lot of water intake, some asavarishtas and enzyme secreting choorans e.g. Lawanbhaskar, walking regularly. Some pittnashak medicines eg Avipattikar are also given by mixing little prawal. That s all. Procedurally cleaning the tongue by soft bristles thus uncovering taste buds helps. This is also achieved by black pepper kept inside mouth which mixes slowly with salivary amylase and helps agnipradeepan. Local emollients also help.
