Suggest Treatment Tiredness After Meals And Weight Loss
Hi My husband Mark is concerned about the severe tiredness he experiences after a meal. He finds he just cannot keep his eyes open and can sleep for up to an hour or more. He is 52 years old, has an active job on a building site so is tired anyway when he comes in and does usually have a nap then aswell. He would probably be classed as overweight but generally just in the stomach and face, however he has lost a bit of weight recently and is wondering whether his stomach has got smaller as bloating and fullness seem to be a problem as well after meals. He usually has a can of cider or two most evenings and often with the meal. Any suggestions? Thank you Sandra Lewis

Suggest Treatment Tiredness After Meals And Weight Loss
Hi, * The tiredness after meals and weight loss if persistent over a period of time, then it should not be co-related with workload or else. * There should be a definite reason as low haemoglobin, vitamin deficiency, liver disorders, diabetes, chronic ulcer or others. * Systemic work up with lab tests, ultrasound, CT abdomen & pelvis are primary workup recommended. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
