Suggest Treatment To Control Blood Pressure During 9 Months Of Pregnancy

Hi doctor During the 9th month of my pregnancy i got my bp 140/90 and 130/90...... n sometimes 130/100.... thats y my doc suggested me to take loprin nd aldomet..... bt 3 days ago my bp remained 130/90 nd tommorow is my operation so doc suggested me to take aldomet 3 tymes a day.... but yestrday i got dexiness nd fast heart beat nd low blood pressure.... is it harmful r nt..???

Hello,
If with the normal maintenance dose, your blood pressure has fallen down, the dosage may be reduced and other related factors may be looked for. Since you are posted for the surgery the next day, it is ideal to have 6th hourly monitoring of the blood pressure today. Try to take adequate liquids and easily digestible solids. Ensure that you pass clear urine in sufficient quantities. Avoid salt in diet. Try to relax and get some good sleep. Monitor fetal movements and take rest in left lateral position. Hope this helps.
