Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good Morning, I have been seeing my GP each month for the past 3 months, because my blood pressure was 190/110...he told me to purchase a monitor, & has increased my medication. My reading has now dropped to 136/80 (which I know is good....my pulse is 80, so I am wondering what a perfect PULSE READING IS, for a 68 year old lady? Thank you, Jeanette Hennessy
I am glad to congratulate your for the excellent achievement, regarding your high BP management. You doctor seems to have found you the right treatment scheme, that fits to you, and obviously exerting a good safety profile.
I just would like to advice you, that keeping high BP under control is usually well performed (with doctor prescriptions), but remains to your will and determination to continue the permanent fight against this silent killer (as is ordinarily called high BP).
Periodic medical check ups would guide you to the better BP management (as BP is everlasting changing and dynamic vital parameter, and potential side effects may arise form drug therapy).
Hope to have been helpful to you. Greetings!
