Suggest Treatment To Control Blood Pressure

have a spike in BP of 181/101 . I took this morning 1 Amlodipine 10 mg - every morning, after feeling the spike I took 1 Enalapril 5 mg and now 1 Clonidine HCL 0.1 my doctor told me to take wheBP goes over 175/100. All these drugs have severe side effects. Is there not something better I can do? I was in hsptal last week and all my heart tests were normal. What about Micards/Telmisartan?

I read your question and I understand your concern.

It is not clear what side effects these drugs cause to you. Telmisartan works in a similar way to Enalapril, it has not the side effect of dry cough, but Enalapril itself has little side effects so unless it's causing you dry cough I don't see the necessity of changing it.
Amlodipine doesn't have many side effects either, leg swelling is the most common, but if that's not your case no need for change.
One change I would consider doing would be from clonidin to a drug of the beta-blocker class or a diuretic.
