Hello Doctor, My Hair is thick and dry and since couple of months it s turning to grey ...iam 29 year old and it really disturbs me when i see my face everytime. my Beard are also heading towards grey....please suggest what should i do to get away with it.
Premature graying is defined as onset before age 30 in Asians and before late teens in caucasians.
Genetics has a role to play and in those who develop premature grey hairs, there is usually a positive family history.
A role is also postulated for environmental factors such as ultraviolet light, smoking, deficiency of trace elements and nutritional deficiencies in the causation of premature graying.
Para aminobenzoic acid (PABA) and Calcium pantothenate are well known remedies for premature graying and have been used in the past to arrest and even reverse premature graying. Either of them can be used alone or in combination
Topical 1% Melitane has recently been made available as a remedy for premature graying of hair. It is available as a gel and needs to be applied once daily (2ml) at night to the hair roots (scalp as well as beard).
Hope this helps
Regards
