Suggest Treatment To Cure Spots On Face Due To Sun
Hello doctor Prasad..
I am a 24 year old female living in Chennai. As chennai is very hot and temperature is high my skin is breaking out very often. Now a days black patches are also appearing on my face. I am using GLYCO6 at nigt times. CAn u guide me how to protect my skin
I would keep a possibility of Melasma, which is appearance of brownish/black pigmentation over the cheeks, bridge of nose, forehead and sometimes on the upper lips and chin.
First and foremost, you must use a broad spectrum sunscreen, that which offer both UV B and UV A protection, throughout the day. A sunscreen with minimum spf 30 would be adequate.
Glycolic acid is an exfoliant and thus gradually peels off existing pigment from the face. You van continue with it OR else you may start using a higher strength of glycolic acid cream (glyco -A 12% once daily at night).
You can also opt for glycolic acid peeling sessions from a dermatologist. The concentration used in peels is higher (35% Or 50%) than that available in creams and therefore, Glycolic Peels are very effective for facial hyperpigmentation.
