Suggest Treatment To Gain Weight When Suffering From Hyperthyroidism
hello my name is veronica I found out about 4 years ago that I have Hyperthyroidism I was going to the doctor very often like I should taking my medication right I had gain about 25 lb. I must be honest I do smoke now I've lost so much weight and would like to regain the weight I lost plus I moved to Denver and need an Endocrinnoligist have been taken my medicine but need to know what happens if you don't get the Thyroid removed can I live on just taken medicine or do it have to be removed I had the Biopsy done back in 2011 and it hurt haven't been back since please give it to me straight doctor!

You have hyperthyroidism. It leads to weight loss. Same way hypothyroidism leads to weight gain. So if you are loosing weight it means you need treatment of hyperthyroidism. Proplythaiouracil or methimazole can be taken. But first of all you should go for T3, T4 and TSH test. Then according to need you should take treatment accordingly.
