I had severe acne problem during my teenage. Unfortunately it had continued even after my teenage, say till I was 21 years old. I consulted a dermatologist and undergone intensive medication like usage of pills, creams, gels, facewash, so on and so forth. Eventually about 70 was cured, but still I had pits caused by the acne and deep scars it left behind. During my last visit to the Doc she precribed Clindoxyl and instructed me to use it in case I get acne again. I was using it for a while and noticed that few weeks after I stop using it, I start getting acne again, then it leaves new scar and sometimes pits. I am 24 years old now and still use Clindoxyl once or twice a week because of the same reason. Now my question is.. 1. Is there any specific age at which things get settled? Meaning I stop getting acne. 2. I have a very oily skin and I am aware that it aids getting acne. Some say removing oil oftentimes, meaning washing face oftentimes makes the skin produce even more oil and some say if we do not wash off the oil it attracts more dusts and bateria which would clog the pores and cause acne. How frequently people like me should wash their face? FYI, I use Saslic DS facewash twice or thrice a day, and normal soap while bathing.
