I have a family member that is an Alcoholic...but she will not admit that she has a serious problem...It is at the point where she believes that the family doesn't want her around and and would be better off without her...I tell her different everyday...I want to help her in the worst way but i just don't know what to do...Please help me help her....
hmm.. the first step is to advise her of her situation and have her understand it. I do not understand how this is going. She denies a problem, and yet, believes the family does not want her around (which would seem to be a problem). Does the family feel she has an alcohol problem? in which case, the patient should admit people perceive a problem. Without her accepting there is a problem, other steps are not going to work.
