Suggest Treatment To Get Rid Of Psoriasis On The Fingers And Joints

Hi I m Sakti from I have a skin problem specially in FINGURES JOINTS for almost a year. My Skin becomes dry & it scales. I met 2 skin specialist & have applied 3-4 Ointments as well as oral medicines as prescribed by the doctors but positive change is very slow...or hardly can be seen. One of the doctors said that my skin problem is PSORIASIS but another doctor said it s a fungal infection. Im so confused & disappointed. Can you please help?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello, regarding the diagnosis of your condition, fungal infection doesnot involve joints, superficial fungal infections causes skin lesions usually in areas like groins etc where sweat accumulates and are quite itchy.
Psoriasis, on the other hand, can involve the joints, is non-itchy, usually involves the extensors, is a chronic condition.
So, from what you have described a fungal infection seems unlikely.
I would adv u to visit ur dermatologist explaining ur joint problems as well.
Thank you
Take care
