Suggest Treatment To Heal Stitches On Leg

A catalytic converter sliced my leg about 2in long.I needed stiches but had to go out of state that same day.The wound is still open but i have kept it covered with bandaides & neosporen.Should i try keeping it covered our should i uncover it so air can get to it so it will heal quicker?It has been 1 week now & since i didnt get stiches it is still open.

Hi,

Keep the area open. Apply antibiotic cream after cleansing with hydrogen peroxide. Take oral antibiotic and antiinflammatory drugs under supervision of your GP. Take rest till the wound heals.
