Suggest Treatment To Improve Platelet Count While Suffering From Dengue
Dear Sir,
i was suffuring with Dhengu fever and plate late count has fall down last 15day , daily 6nos plate late is pushing but it is not increasing . it vary from 20000 to 10000.
Hi Aditya, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows 1. Platelet count reduction is due to immune destruction. 2. For dengue, at present prophylactic therapy with paracetamol for fever and body pains and platelet transfusion as necessary. 3. Single donor platelet transfusion would be better than pooled donor to reduce immune antibody development and further destruction. 4. In another week, it will improve and until then careful monitoring is essential to avoid further complications. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again
