Hello doctor my wife is 8th month pregnant and she is having low hb of 9% . She is taking iron tablets but immediately getting vomited and there is no increase in her hb, what will happen in her delievery is our baby will be health. This is our second baby and her first delivery is normal

Since she is unable to take iron tablets orally, iron sucrose injection can be given in 2 divided doses. It helps to replenish iron stores and rise her Hb at the time of delivery. In case she goes into labour earlier, blood need to be arranged. Hope I have answered your queries. Good day
