HI
WELCOME TO HCM.THANKS FOR THE QUERY.
HIGH CHOLESTEROL NEEDS TO BE CONTROLLED SINCE IT IS A RISK FACTOR FOR HEART DISEASES.
THERE ARE EXCELLENT MEDICATIONS AVAILABLE TO CONTROL CHOLESTEROL.I ASSURE YOU THAT THEY ARE WELL TOLERATED BY MAJORITY OF PATIENTS WITHOUT SIDE EFFECTS.THEY NOT ONLY LOWER CHOLESTEROL ,BUT ALSO HELP IN PREVENTING SERIOUS ILLNESSES LIKE HEART ATTACK AND STROKE.
YES,YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR DIET.AVOID JUNK FOOD,FRIED FOODSTUFFS,SOFT DRINKS,EGG YOLK.ALSO EXERCISE LIKE BRISK WALKING FOR 45MIN REGULARLY WILL DEFINATELY KEEP YOU HEALTH.
SO MY ADVISE IS YOU SHOULD GO AHEAD WITH YOUR GP'S ADVISE AND START THESE MEDICINES.
WISH YOU GOOD HEALTH
