Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband is 38 yrs old. he is a diabetic . he eating tobacco and also paan .& he is lieing to me that i am not eating it . So pls suggest me some tip so that my husband quit eating tobacco aswellas paan.i also want to the drawback of eating only simple paan.
Talk to him and ask him if he needs any help in quitting tobacco. There are medicines available which can help reduce the craving for tobacco and make it easier to quit. Paan without tobacco can also be harmful as it contains some harmful chemicals which increase one's risk of developing cancer. Tell your husband that quitting tobacco will improve his diabetes control as well. Once he is willing to accept that he has a problem and ready to take help, consult a doctor so that medicines can be started.
Best wishes.
