Suggest Treatment To Regulate BP After Surgery

hi my mom is in the hospital and had back surgery. she had lost blood during surgery and got 2 units of blood. about 20 hours after the surgery her blood pressure has been hovering around 70/40. they have been pumping her with fluids and working on giving her more blood. the incision is good though they say. there is a pump that sucks excess blood from incision. if this treatment doesnt raise her BP what coiuld possibly be the next rout to take?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

The main treatment is finding the cause of bleeding and try to stop bleeding.

The next step would be blood transfusion and fluid infusion in order to help against acute anemia and hypovolemic shock.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
