Hi gud morning!I just want to ask if what best ointment I should need to apply in my skin..one week ago I got wounds on my face and now its getting healed its become dark..I am embarrassed to go out coz of this.or does have any treatment for this problem?hope u can answer me soon!thanks and have a nice day!
You seem to have developed post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is common after a wound injury, specially if the site is in sun exposed area.
If I was your treating doctor I would have asked you to use a broad spectrum sunscreen, that which offers both UV A and UV B protection, throughout the day. UV A is mainly responsible for tanning and hyperpigmentation therefore a sunscreen should provide a broad spectrum of coverage, having an spf of preferably over 30.
A moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone can be applied over the hyperpigmented areas once or twice daily.
regards
