Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain in case if you have a history of having Swimmer's ear that is an infection in the outer
ear canal secondary to swimming caused by bacterial proliferation in ear canal due to long hours of water exposure..
The yellowish liquid is pus caused due to infection..
Only cleaning and coating antiseptic will not help and you need to consult an ENT expert and get an Otoscopic examination done.
He can advise you antibiotics to be taken orally like
Augmentin, anti-inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen,
steroids and decongestants..
Ear drops containing antibiotic and steroid components will be advised along with nasal decongestants..
Abstain from swimming and also take shower after wearing shower cap or having cotton in ear that is coated with petroleum jelly..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
