I have a child who acts like a wild animal. No medication has helped. She throws food, has poor hygiene, puts nasty things in her siblings food and WILL NOT follow authority....is their any help for this? She has been in therapy for almost 10 years, MANY hospitilizations, several residential treatments to no avail...PLEASE HELP!

i suggest punish and reward technique for treating such cases.
punish her whenever she does something that is not desireable (eg. close her in room - provided she would be safe inside with no sharp objects with play with, or other punishment which u feel she will not like.
on the other hand reward them somethings that she likes, whenever she does something good, or in this case something that is not bad!
encourage her to do some activities, keep her busy and things will turn out to be well.
i am sure she will grow up in a very confident person! :)
