Hi. I had an emergency c section 6 years ago resulting in a 12lb 10oz baby girl! I am still struggling to get rid of the significant overhang this left me with and, as my weight has gone down I have noticed my mons pubis is extremely protuberent. Is surgery the only answer? Thanks
After reading your question, my opinion is:
1) Your problem is a pretty common one.
2) The overhanging skin takes time to regress, but 6 years is a long time. 3) You can try wearing belts and binders and apply vitamin e cream along with massages regularly.
4) If nothing works, abdominoplasty surgery is the best answer. It is quite safe and effective surgery.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Dr. Shikha
