Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per the explanation you have given it seems that you have a recurring episodes of acid reflux and it is not saliva that is coming up but stomach acid..
Due to acid reflux there seems to be inflammation of the lining of food pipe leading to choked feeling and difficulty in swallowing..
I would suggest you to
consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and he can advise you to take other
Proton pump inhibitors like
Pantoprazole,
Rabeprazole , Omeprazole etc.
Antacids like
Milk of magnesia has to be taken before meals..
Drink plenty of cool water.
Avoid hot, spicy and heavy meals..
Take small portions of food every 2 to 3 hours.
Take short walk after meals.
At night take your dinner atleast 2 hours before sleeping..
While sleeping keep your head slightly raised as compared to feet and if you sleep laterally prefer left lateral position..
If you are overweight try loosing some weight..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
