Suggest Treatments For Insomnia,anxiety And Pain In Throat Cartilage With Green Sputum
I think i have an infection of cartiladge in my throat. i do have nodes and hypothyroidism .while on this antibiotici have had insomnia anxious,painin the throat at the cartilage area and suddenly all this yucky green and purulent stuff from throat is gone,im concerned that it may not be all the way gone. i have psoriatic arthritis and get remicade infusions q8wks. should i insist on a ct of my neck ?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of nodes, hypothyroidism, pain in throat cartilage area, sudden green expectoration. The cause is definitely an infection in respiratory tract and should be investigated by the following: Send the phlegm for gram staining, culture and sensitivity. X-ray of hte chest. CT scan of the sinuses MRI of the neck instead of the CT scan to get the better diagnosis. A course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicines ans so on. Continue with your treatment for Psoariatic arthritis. Complete the course of medication till you are cured of the problems.
