Hi,My periods are missed from last three and half month.I do the checking for pregnecy but it is negative.My doctor give Tab Overal G and Tab Diacid for five days twice a day.he said after five days your periods will start.But still after 10 days its not started yet.Please suggest.

If you have never faced this sort of delayed period earlier, you need further evaluation. Since repeated pregnancy tests have come out negative, pregnancy can be ruled out. Since induction of the period is tried, a period should occur not later than ten days usually. A sonogram of the pelvis, preferably in the trans-vaginal route, is very useful and helps to know the status of the pelvic organs and also to exclude/confirm pregnancy. Further management can be planned accordingly. Hope this helps.
